The Story
I enjoy helping visitors maximize their time in Japan and sharing insights to help them gain a deeper understanding of this remarkable country.
🚗 Background
Before settling in Japan more than 40 years ago, I graduated from the University of Toronto, where I majored in Japanese History and English Literature.
I retired from Toyota Motor Corporation about five years ago after a 30-year career in training, marketing, public relations, and projects related to the Toyota Production System, working with VIP visitors and professionals from around the world.
🏠 How I spend my day-off
I have an art studio at home and try to paint or draw every day. I have also recently begun studying Portuguese.
🍴 Favourite Food
Sushi, of course!
🌊 Favourite Places
Anywhere around Mt. Fuji.
I find it fascinating how the presence of this magnificent volcano has shaped local communities for centuries, while a rich history continues to influence everyday life throughout the region.
🛫 Overseas Travel and Living Experience
I have travelled to more than 80 countries over the past 40 years, giving me a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.
