🏞️ Spot Overview
Lake Tanuki is a peaceful lakeside destination located in the countryside of Fujinomiya, offering one of the most beautiful and symmetrical views of Mt. Fuji. The lake is especially famous for the “Diamond Fuji” phenomenon, when the sunrise aligns perfectly with the summit of Mt. Fuji in April and August. With flat walking paths, quiet forests, and calm waters, it is ideal for photography, picnics, bird‑watching, and easy outdoor activities. The area is less crowded than other Fuji Five Lakes, making it a relaxing escape into nature. Its wide lakeshore provides excellent opportunities for sunrise and sunset viewing.
